mainly interested in something

Hello,
Do you think that "I am mainly interested in trout fishing" sounds odd? I think it sounds fine. I realize that mostly can be used instead, but both work for me.

No, I don’t. In my mind, there is little difference between ‘mainly’ and ‘mostly’, as both relate to quantity. It might also depend on whether you mean, “My main interest is trout fishing” or “I spend more time fishing for trout than hiking the lake district.”
