Main Verb or Auxiliary verb

Hi could someone please check to see if I am on the right track.

I have to say if the following sentences use the main or auxiliary verbs. I am a little unsure about these.

Thanks in advance. I appreciate all the help.

1. She is beautiful. MAIN

2. She is getting more beautiful every day. AUXILIARY

3. He does his homework every night. MAIN

4. Does he work hard at school? AUXILIARY

5. I don't like ice cream. MAIN

6. They have finished their assignment. AUXILIARY

7. She has long black hair. MAIN

8. Do you like opera? MAIN

9. It is a lovely day. MAIN

10. I have been learning Italian. AUXILIARY

11. I am interested in politics. MAIN

12. The people in government don't really care about their subjects. MAIN

13. Despite the fact that some of them have great intelligence. AUXILIARY

I have just checked 13 and yes it is correct, I presume it is a follow on from the sentence above, I know what you mean it has no meaning at all.

The statement before my questions said:-

Would I be right in saying that if there is only an auxiliary verb in the sentence it is classed as main verb and if there is a verb and an auxiliary verb in the sentence it is classed as an auxiliary verb?
