I would like to know if the following sentence is correct:

Children's main place of residence is at the mother of the children.

The phrase seems OK, but the sentence limps. I'm not sure what you mean, maybe: "The children's main place of residence is their mother's domicile."

Maybe you mean to say one of these:
The children live with their mother.

The mother has custody of the children.

It is also an option. "At the mother" is wrong? Probably "at mother's place" would also be correct.

No. 'At the/their mother's place is at least grammatical, but see AS's post for natural forms.
