mail missing somewhere in the middle

Is it OK to say, "My mail was missing somewhere in the middle" or "My mail was lost somewhere in the middle" or "My mail got lost somewhere in the middle"?

Any better suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi, They're all OK, but rather incomplete. In the middle of what? It's hard to make suggestions without a context.

...somewhere midway between [New York and Cairo].

I might say, "My mail was lost in transit."

Hi,

Where I live, we commonly say something ....was lost in the mail.

But you wouldn't say, 'My mail was lost in the mail'.
