Let say I am a member of some group, which wide spread opinion about some particular subject I don't share. Can I say : "I made the distance from them on that question."?
Also is this ok:"which wide spread opinion about some particular subject I don't share."? Emotion: smile

Not quite.
Idiomatically, you can say eg I have distanced myself from them on that question

"widespread" is one word, but it doesn't seem to quite fit this sentence.
