Made [out?] of

Hello,

Could you please suggest whether we should use the word "out"

in the phrase "made (out?) of smth." when talking about a thing

made using such-and-such material? For instance,

"Her dress was made (out?) of a gauze-like thin fabric."

Thanks in advance.

Made of is the correct form. Using out (and many native speakers do) is incorrect and adds nothing to the meaning.
