Made /makes

1.That song always remembered me of my school days../ made me feel as if we are still in school.

2. That play always made me feel as if we are still together..

or

That play always makes me feel as if we are still together. etc..

Does the sentence [1&2] mean that "now/at present .. that song/play does not have that effect on me??"

pls suggest the difference...

Using the past tense doesn't mean you don't still feel that way. It simply doesn't address the present situation. Perhaps you have not recently heard the song or seen the play.

If you hear the song every day, then use the present.
