Made like a movie star

He made like a movie star.

I want to know whether 'like a movie star' is adjectival or adverbial.

I suppose that's adjectival rather than adverbial. My parsing is that:

She died young

= She died. + She was young

She made like a movie star

= She made (acted). + She was like a movie star

Adjectives modify nouns. What noun do you see in the sentence He made like a movie star which might be the noun that 'like a movie star' modifies?
