Thanks Optilang. But one question I forgot to ask: what impression do you get by "while pulling his own ears with both hands"? Does it give you the impression that the teacher is doing it? In fact, I wanted to mean that the teacher also made the student to pull his own ears, in addition to stand up and sit down repeatedly.

Yes I was a little concerned about the possible ambiguity, except that it would be silly for the teacher to pull his own ears, so I'm sure it would be understood that it was the student who was pulling is own ears.

I didn't like with both hands - what else would you use to pull your ears?
