MA thesis slang and colloquial speech in films
Hello!
I'm writing my MA thesis (right now the very beginning of the theoretical part) about translation of slang and colloquialisms in films from English into my native language (Polish). I'd like to analyse some constraints of this type of translation, the choices of the translator(s), whether these choices were good or not, if the translator(s) had managed to convey the message, if the purpose of the text(s) hadn't been lost, etc.
Have you got any ideas for films or TV series I might use (preferably something with humour)? I would be extremely grateful for some suggestions!
