Lured away from my home

Hi,

Did she mean she was away from her home for long time ?

When I was thirteen years old, I was lured away from my home by an internet predator.

Thank you.

Thanks.

Here is more context:
"I was lured away from my home by an internet predator. He told me everything I wanted to hear--and became my best friend." After eight months of chatting, she met her internet friend. He turned out to be a 38-year-old man.

What do you want me to say, Stephen? Your original sentence still does not address the time.

I can't determine the time from the context either.
But it seems that this girl never met the internet predator before they chatted for eight months.
So "I was lured away from my home by an internet predator", could not mean she left her home and met this man-predator. Is that right?

Thank you.

It seems they only chatted, but I suppose she was speaking about the future: she was chatted to and that finally lured her away from home, and they met.

I suddenly see the point.
Your explanation is correct, I suppose.
