Grammar

lower; below; less (in regard to temperature)

0 Hi, which of the following sentences do you prefer and why?02br
02br
001. Due to her extreme dislike of cold temperatures, she refuses to let her tenants set the thermostat below 25 C.02br
02br
002. (...) she refuses to let her tenants set the thermostat anywhere below 25 C.02br
02br
002. (...) she refuses to let her tenants set the thermostat any lower than 25 C.02br
02br
004. (...) she refuses to let her tenants set the thermostat to less than 25 C.02br
02br
00Also, in each case, would it be preferable to say "she won't let her tenants..." rather than "she refuses to let her tenants..."? Is there any subtle difference between the two I should be aware of? 02br
02br
00More formally and generally speaking, would it also be acceptable to say: "She refuses to let her tenants adjust the thermostat to suit / meet their individual needs"? 0-

0 in this context, I feel "less than 25c" or "lower than 25c" is uncommon.02br
00 Simple one would be "She doesn't allow her tenants to set the temperature below 25 C" (I feel "anywhere" word is redundant here).02br
00BTW, I am not an expert in English. 0-
