what does it mean by 'low profile'?
such as low profile seam of a garment?

Hi Something has a low profile if it does not stand out from its background. In fact, you can say that a person is keeping a low profile if they are not doing anything that makes them noticeable or anything that draws attention In the case of garment seams, I'd say it means that the seam does not rise or bulge much above the surface of the fabric. Unless I'm mistaken, this is true of modern film and tape methods of seaming, as opposed to more traditional methods of stitching Dave
