"Love that he is"

Can I use the verb 'love' this way? I mean can 'love' be intransitive verb?

1- I love that he is a very nice person.

The sentence is correct. What you are missing here is that the verb love here is not being used as intransitive. It is still transitive - the object is the dependent sentence (that he is a very nice person) that follows.
