Love novel?

Hi,

I've been wondering what the name of the type of novel is where the feeling of romantic love and one or more romantic relationships are in the center (rather than eroticism).

I'd like to find a term which includes those books as well which have more literary value than volumes of today's pulp fiction. (If I understand it well, romance novels belong to the latter category).

Could you, please, help me? Thanks in advance.

I'd still call it a romance novel. They can be the complete formula-driven story that differ only in the names and the occupations of the main characters to great stories that you hate to put down at the end.
