Loss vs Damage

Please look at this sentence.

"You will be reimbursed for any loss or damage caused by our company."

What is the difference between the meanings of "loss" and "damage". I think they are the same. I doubt "loss" is a word to describe loss of property like a house and money and "damage" is for telling physical loss like disease, Couldn't you explain it to me a little bit?

Thank you in advance.

In general terms, a "loss" is non-recoverable, such as " loss of lives in a natural disaster ".
"Damage", on the other hand, is repairable, recoverable or salvageable. i.e. The structural damage in the family room from the fire is estimated at $5,000. This implies that the living room can be rebuilt and restored to meet code requirement.

Ok, If you need to express appreciation for someone's help, just simply say " Thank you (so much) ". "Thanks to you" has a sarcastic meaning which means, " if not for you, I won't be in this position".

Ah~ I've never tried to give you words with a sarcastic meaning. If you feel like that,I'm really sorry.Did you mean that I would say as "Thank you so much" without calling your name? Couldn't you make me know it more clear? Thank you so much(o), Thank you so much,Mr.Dimsumexpress(x),isn't it? Thank you for your answer in advance.

With or without the name, it really doesn't matter because when you are saying "thank you " you are addressing to the person. But it sounds more sincere with " Thank you (so much) for your help ; Mr. XYZ ".
