Loss Of .....

Let's say there is a show on TV.

Scenario 1:
If the show goes silent but the show continues in video, some announcement might come on:

"We apologize for the loss of ____ ."

Scenario 2:
If instead the video disappears (blank screen) but show continues in audio, some announcement might come on:

"We apologize for the loss of ____ ."

I try putting "audio" and "video" in those blanks, but that's not what I remember hearing in those situations. What are the usual words for those two blanks?
