'Either im losing it , or i have never had in me.'

It writing a story where the main character is a frustrated photographer.who have achived some fame in the past. In fact he was a very successful one.Now he has been working on a assignment that he thinks he wont be able to finish.he is missing the mojo of his life.Nothing seems to work right for him. so he is confused and about to give up

Well, I guess it would be alright to say 'Either I'm losing it, or I've never had it in me'.

This will indicate that the 'it' whatever it is (his mojo, his creativity, his focus etc etc) is slipping away, or he never had it in the first place.

Hmm, i guess it would be better if you said:

"either i'm losing it or i have neverhad it in me"..
