Lose you 20 minutes

How would you say this? “Lose you” sounds incorrect?

Driving at 40kmph on a road where the limit is 50kmph will lose you 20 minutes.

Thank you

No, that's not right. I can't think of a short way to say that correctly. If you drive at 40kmph on a road where the limit is 50kmph, it will take you 20 minutes longer to reach my house than if you drove at the speed limit.

I'd say eg .If you drive at 40kmph on a road where the limit is 50kmph, it will take you 20 minutes longer to reach my house than if you drove at the speed limit.

Maybe:

Driving 40 mph on a 50 mph road will cost you 20 min.

Driving 40 mph on a 50 mph road, you'll lose 20 min. of your valuable time.

That is OK informally in my American dialect.
