Loose

Hi

There was some Manchester baggy scene and the bands like Stone Roses etc. and someone says that they had a RETRO THING GOING ON, but they also had LOOPED PERCUSSION AND RHYTHM TRACKS and everything was becoming LOOSE as people were getting turned on to Ecstasy.

--- I'm not sure about "loose"? Does it mean that when those who performed on stage started to take Ecstasy their shows, the way they played, was becoming very inaccurate?

Hi

But people were becoming relaxed, or maybe it refers to the way the played?
Do you think it has a negative connotation?

Hi,
I'd consider it negative in the context of a drug scene. I guess drug-users wouldn't.

The meaning of the passage is a bit imprecise.

I read it a few more times and it seems to me that "loose" might mean "go wild"?

Maybe those bands who played at the time used to take ecstasy and they went wild, they behaved really crazy. Maybe
