look/is looking

Hello,
could you tell me whether both the present simple and the present continuous can be used in the sentence below?

Wow, you look great in that dress!
Wow, you are looking great in that dress!

I think the Present Simple is better in this sentence because that dress makes her look great in general (always).

If we added 'tonight', or something like that, the Present Continuous would be better, am I right?

Wow, you are looking great tonight!
Wow, you are looking great in that dress tonight!
