looking for words

Some medicine has smell (ordor)? I am looking for the word expressing the ordor ? of medicine and the adjectives that can come before the ordor word, (a) strong ordor? (a) terrible ordor? My other question is, what is the difference between the words "medicine" , drug", and "medication" when it comes to taking "medicine" to cure an illness? Thank you in advance.
