Looking for right word
Hi everybody,
it's the first time i'm putting my question here but i've looked everywhere and couldn't find an english word for "ryšininkas" (in Lithuanian). It means a person who passes information (letters, messages from close people , sometimes even food and clothes) to the partisans or anybody who is hiding from authorities. Is there such word in English? I'd appreciate any suggestions, thanks

Abettor is a possibility, but it usually is used in reference to criminal action.
