Looking for better expressions.

Hi teachers.

One of my friends sold her land and she is very happy because she didn't expect it to sell any time soon.

Now I am looking for the best expressions for the underlined part.

1) There was a slim chance that the land would sell .

2) She didn't think that the land would sell.

3) Nobody thought that the land would sell.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance~~
