Looking for an idiom/expression

Hi,

i'm looking for an expression.. for example if something is not working when u really need it.(for example your car, computer,cellphone)

can you say "Come on, Don't bail on me now" ? any other suggestions?

My suggestion is :- Don't let me down now!!!! "Don't bail out on me" would be more for a person who was helping you but wanted to stop and leave you to finish the task alone, particularly if the task is difficult and really needs more than one person.

My suggestion is :-

"Don't bail out on me" would be more for a person who was helping you but wanted to stop and leave you to finish the task alone, particularly if the task is difficult and really needs more than one person.

Why not? People often talk to their equipment.

To bail on someone is usually considered a deliberate human act of cowardice - or an abrogation of responsibility. It's something you do to someone else. To accuse your car of this would be an example of the "figure of speech" known
