Looking for a word(regarding architectural constructs)

How do I describe a state where a building/language character is getting
de-constructurized?( I know that it might not be the most correct word or a word that is correct at all, but I guess you can infer what I mean here)
Is there a formal word for this?

Thank you.

maelstrom a building/language character is getting de-constructurized? Buildings are demolished (by a demolition crew). I have no idea why you think the same word would apply to a language or language character, whatever it is you're trying to convey there.

"Deconstruct" may be possible, but other that, I'm stumped. I'll return to this thread and add other suggestions if any come to mind.
