Looking for a word

Hi.

What do we call a book or booklet that contains rules and regulation of driving?

I am talking about a book that applicant who wants to take the driving licence should read it.

Furthermore, what are different kinds of driving licences? For instance what is the license of lorry and truck technically called? What about other vehicles?

Thanks

In California it's called the "Driver Handbook." I would assume that most states call it either a "handbook" or a "manual."

You're probably thinking of a CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
