Looking for a word

Hello

You know that expression 'you can't see the forrest for the trees'? I'm looking for a word to describe the opposite: when you're so focussed on the big picture that you forget the details.

I was asked this in class a few weeks ago and sure enough I was stumped. But recently I was asked again and my curiosity got the better of me. Google's not been helping me very much here...

Can you help?

Thanks

One picture is worth 1,000 words. The trick to forgetting the big picture is to look at everything close-up.

It is more common for someone to get bogged down in some minor detail, even to the point of becoming paralyzed and incapble of finishing that aspect, let alone the whole project.

So euphamisms such as "you can't see the forrest for the trees" are more commonly used.

However, if you find that you have developed a grand scheme but given no thought to how it will actually come to pa
