Looking for a word

Hi.

What do we call a cloth that is used for carrying hot caseroles and dishes in the kitchen?

When the caserole is on the stove flame or in the oven and it is hot we use a cooking glove or a square piece of cloth for carrying it to the table? what do we call that square piece of cloth?

Thanks for your help and time

In the US, we call it "a holder," or "a pot holder."

If it's a flat square I would call it a "pot holder." If it's shaped like a mitten, I would call it an "oven mitt."
