"...looking at cell b7..." or "...looking in cell b7..."

1-"We are looking at cell b7."

2-"We are looking in cell b7."

3-"We are looking on cell b7."

Which is correct? Why?

Thanks!

Hi, What's cell b7? Is that a place or sth? If so my guess would be "look in".

I can contextualize 1 and 2, but not 3. 1 would be something like a cell on a spread sheet. 1 and 2 are both possible for a prison cell or a monk's cell.
