Looked them kneel down

Hi,

Can we put this idea into English?

"I made them kneel down, only by looking or staring"

How about, "I looked them (to) kneel down"?

Or, "I saw them kneel down"?

Is it possibe in English?

If it's impossible, what should be appropriate English?

"I made them kneel down only by looking."?

What is the sense of native speakers?
