Hi teachers,

I heard this sentence but I cannot transcript it correctly. The spare spaces are where I didn't hear well. It's close to:

I didn't even think he looked of age _ in college. But he turned out to be 23.

I didn't even think he looked of age to be in college. But he turned out to be 23.

That's my guess. If so, it's a clumsy and unnatural sentence.

No.

You can say 'He looked his age', but it makes no sense to say 'He looked his age to be in college.
