Look over/look through

Would you say that look over and look through are synonyms in the meaning 'examine something quickly'?
For example,
Can you please look over/through the documents before the meeting?

Is there any difference?

Thank you!

Hi Both are good. I would say that the second probably implies a more careful examination: - She asked me just to look over the documents. I looked through them very thoroughly Dave
