look on / consider

look on
= to consider somebody/something in a particular way

1. I look on you as my friend.
2. I think of you as my friend.(no idea this is correct)
3. I consider you as my friend.
4. I regard you you as my friend.

Does #1 sound like a sentence you use in casual conversation while #3 and 4 a little formal or something?

Oh.. it's interesting to hear that you don't use the phrase "look on".
Then how should I take it? I shouldn't use it or should use it in specific contexts? Actually they are from my dictionary's example; I hearing that you don't use it, it is just one of those awkward expressions only used in some dictionaries?

Well, there are hundreds of idiomatic phrases and expressions that I don’t use. I’m sure many people use it, though I don’t hear it too often where I live. The only reason I mentioned that I don’t use it is that you asked.
