Look like vs look alike

Hi dear friends, Would you please tell me how these sentences are different grammatically and meaningfuly?Especially grammatically.

In other words, Which part of speech usually? comes after alike.I know" like"in eighth sentence is prep.In grammar after it we use Noun or pronoun. Is there any rule as direct as this for "alike"? I got confused with this term and it's usage.

1.They look alike to me.

2.They walk alike.

3.The twins are as alike as two peas in a pod.

4.we look alike.

5.How are you alike?

6.These apples are alike.

7.They look utterly alike.

8.They look like me.

Don't worry about what comes after 'alike'. The grouping is "look alike", less often "be alike", said of two or more people or things. look alike (most usual) You can add a "to" phrase to say who finds the likeness to be true.
