Look (like) that day

Hello,

I've got a problem with "like". I'm not sure if I need it in this sentence:
"I will never forget how you looked (like?) that day."

Should I keep or leave it?

Thank you

Leave it out. It wouldn't be the same sentiment if you used "like": "I will never forget what you looked like that day."

In your sentence, "like" doesn't fit with "how".

I see. I am right that I should use "what" instead of "how"?

"How" in your sentence is more of a positive sentiment. "What" is more neutral.

This is not as clear as it could be. If you keep the word "like" in the sentence or you leave the word "like" in the sentence, you're doing the same thing either way. The word "like" stays in the sentence.

Better:

Should I keep "like" or remove it?
Should I keep "like" or take it
