look forward to ...

Hello,

I had emailed a professor for a position, and he did not have an openning in his group. I just wanted to reply to his response, and wondering if the second part (look forward to) makes sense or not?

"Thank you for your quick response, I look forward to collaborating with you in the future."

Thanks

" Yes, I would say so. However, 'Collaboration' may be a step too soon since there is no opening. Perhaps 'looking forward to hearing from you/ working with you in the future.
