We're looking forward to your joining us. And We're looking forward to you joining us.

What's the difference between the two? Thanks in advance!

Hi, In my opinion the first sentence is wrong. It has to be either: We're looking forward to you joining us ( your second sentence) or We're looking forward to your joining. Alex

Hi,

In my opinion the first sentence is wrong. It has to be either:

We're looking forward to you joining us ( your second sentence)

or

We're looking forward to your joining.

In fact both of them are seeking the same path to present the intention of its mere meaning ... so in my opinion , we all know that " ... looking forward to ..." must followed by base form of the verb plus its continuous form like .... ( hearing ) ... so the first sentence followed by reflective pronoun which is directly attached by gerund so here we noticed that it's a noun not like the second

This is ok. But I would say: " .....Looking forward to having you join us". Notice where the gerund is positioned in the sentences. In yours, it's preceeded by a possessive pronoun, "your".
