IMO, MM is not referring in the above to the real name of the shop, which would be something like "T

In my opinion, it might be right to write without the article eventhough, as you said, it is referring to the term used generically (I think that is what you meant.) because the term is still the name of the term.

How about this? How would you answer these? I have tweaked the original question a little bit for the first one.
