Look as if / like , appear like / that

Hello, expert!

I come here too often, all of a sudden. Sorry about that. Help or guide from you should be for everyone.

Some individuals like me should not be too greedy about getting help from here.

I fully understand that. But sorry that I can't leave this place now since I'm in need of your help.

Would you kindly look at the following sentences and could you tell whether each of the following sentences can work as meaningful and grammatically acceptable ones?

(1) The groom wanted to look as if he was lifting the bride with just one hand in the photo.

(2) The groom wanted to look like he was lifting the bride with just one hand in the photo.

(3) The groom wanted to look like lifting the bride with just one hand in the photo.

(4) The groom wanted to look as if lifting the bride with just one hand in the photo.

(5) The groom wanted to appear like lifting the bride with just one hand in the photo.

(6) The groom wanted to appear that he was lifting the bride with just one hand in the photo.

It seems that I am demanding too much. But I only vaguely feel sentence No.1 and 2 may be acceptable.

And I cannot say I'm sure about the acceptability of the other sentences.

So I'm asking for your help here.

I would very much appreciate it

if you could help me to be more clear about whether each of them can be spoken and acceptable or not.

The sentences that are natural and grammatical are 1 and 2. " The reason is that the groom did not want himself to look like that, he wanted the photo to create the illusion that he was doing that. I will try to say why the other sentences were not right.

The sentences that are natural and grammatical are 1 and 2. They would be improved by inserting a dummy "it": "The groom wanted it to look like he was lifting the bride with just one hand in the photo." The reason is that the groom did not want himself to look like that, he wanted the photo to create the illusion that he was doing that.

I will try to say why the other sentences were not

I cannot imagine that. How is it physically possible? Did he grab his bride by her hair?
