Long winded letters
Hi everyone.
I am new to this forum, so forgive me if my profile is incomplete, I will address this later on.
My question today is; Is there an app or Letter software that can reduce a long winded letter? As I recall, back in 1997 I had an office suite, I think it was called G.E.M?, I may be wrong, which had a paragraph shortening feature which used some form of algorithm to pick key parts and grammatically manipulated it to still read correctly. I can not find anything that will do that as before. Does anyone know of anything currently?

I would be surprised if any automated software exists that can do such a task reliably, i.e. reliably producing well-written English. I think it is still some way beyond the capabilities of computers.
