Long a sound changing to short a

My daughter has a list of words where the base word changes spelling causing the a to change from long to short.

volcano - volcanic

grave - gravity

native - nativity

narrate - narrative

major - majority

educate - educable

humane - humanity

she needs come up with 2 more. Can anyone think of any more?
