Question

Despite the cost, many companies are choosing to renovate rather than relocate.I think this sentence has some logic issue to discuss. It sounds like moving to a new loaction is cheaper than renovating the office suite for the company. But, I really don't think so. How about you, all advisors? Correct me if I am wrong.LC

But, without more information, I'd probably interpret the sentence as meaning that, although renovation is expensive, there are some perceived advantages to it.

It's possible that relocation might be even more expensive, when all the associated costs are considered. (Some associated costs would be setting up in a new location, possibly needing to hire and train a lot of new employees, taking new risks, etc.) Or it might be that there are considerations beyond purely economic ones. I'm speculating here. I don't know enough to say with any certainty.
