Hi,
1) My running app just told me:
“You logged more kilometres than yesterday.”
I know that ‘log’ means to travel a particular distance, but I thought that it could only be used for cars or ships. What do you think? Is there perhaps a similar word that could be used (not run)?
2) When it’s about to rain, the clouds move across the sky more quickly than usual. Do you have a special word for it?
Thank you so much.
1) Many runners keep detailed records of their distances, etc. These records are commonly called logs. The noun 'log' is often used loosely to refer to any kind of ongoing record.

It can even be a verb.
eg in your example above
eg Last month I logged 12 hours of overtime at work.
2) The word 'scud' is fine here.
