Location of adverbial phrase ?

Please look at this sentence.
"You may return for full credit any merchandise with which you are not satisfied."

I think "for full credit" is an adverbial phrase. Why did the writer put adverbial phrase in that location ? Could you confirm whether or not "for full credit" is an adverbial phrase there ?

Thanks in advance

Son James Why did the writer put adverbial phrase in that location ? It is placed there for strategic purposes: the writer wished to bring this condition to the reader's attention by placing it nearer the verb than it otherwise might appear.
