Hello,

I saw the sentence "It (the storm) is going to be above us."
I think this also works: "It is going to be below us."

Then how about the east and west? Or the right side and left side? Could you please help?

That would seem odd. I read it as at high altitude overhead (unless they are in a submarine or a mine).
