Located on a beautiful 100-acre campus, St. Peter's

Located on a beautiful 100-acre campus, St. Peter's is an independent, coeducational school with students from grades 7 to 13. Of the 1,000 students who attend this school, 430 of them board here, and 60 students come from abroad.

Hi,

Is it better to replace "Located on" in the above with "Boasting/Having?"

Besides, is "board here" interchangeable with "stay/live in the dormitory here?" Thanks.

Thanks, Marius.

To make sure, does it sound odd to you to say "A school is located on a ... campus?"
