Does the following sentence make sense?
If just a few people read local news, they wouldn't be so popular among readers.

Tautologies do make a sort of sense, but looking at it in another way, it makes no sense to state a tautology.

That is, of course if fewer people do something, then (by definition) that "something" is not so popular. "Popular" means that a lot of people do it. I think that's what you're saying. If

CJ, you're right. Thank you for helping me realize the contradiction. I guess this is what I wanted to express - If just a few people read local news, we wouldn't see so many different local newspapers.
I know it sounds completely different but anyway....
