Local legislations

Hello All!

I would much appreciate help of native English speakers.

Does the following sound correct to you? *to bring smething into compliance with local legislations (or laws)*

I've been told that local legislations sounds inccorect. Could you please comment?

Thank you!

"...compliance with local ordinances."

While I don't think that "legislation" is wrong, it would be extremely uncommon in this sentence.
