Yes, I suppose you can do that, but it seems less natural than just asking them to confirm something by saying "Can you please confirm (for me) that ...?"

Thanks a lot. Just one more question, can I use "issue" to take place of "matter", such as "There is a issue to confirm", because I cannot tell the difference between the two words. Thanks again for your advice.
